Tell me a little bit about yourself. Where we you born?
A creative and a a proud Singaporean.

Where did you grow up?
I have spent almost all my life living in the Northern parts of Singapore, in a 5-room flat with mom, dad, brother; within and amongst other towering apartment buildings.
Much of my memories of childhood surround playgrounds and sandboxes;
watching children skip - adults talk - them whisper - play pretend.

When did you first discover your love for photography?
I fell in love with Art because I need Art. Making Art is a primal behaviour; a language, a form of communication with others.

Do you remember the first time seeing your work on a screen? What was it like?
I remember
perched at the edge of my seat
being in awe
at the fruition of an idea-
translated into flickering hues
reflected on walls surrounding the screen
cyan and magenta-
coupled with occasional voids of darkness
where I stop to catch my breath.

The crescendo of sounds;
grave and acute,
slowly muffled by criticisms
from an inner voice.
I love and hate it
altogether.

The air was still;
a musty scent
from fresh paints -
like candied apples and citrus
like summer in winter.

Empowered and lost -
at the thought of completing this project
and starting on another.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
Books, Magazines, Dreams ... scenes from films and reality.
My works parallel coded journal entries. Reflective of immediate experiences and environment, they reveal my innermost thoughts.

You are a multi-media artist, what does this mean?
‘The medium is the message’ - Marshall McLuhan. I suppose I am always searching for a medium which best conveys my intentions.

What's it like watching the reactions of people when they see your work for the first time?
Refreshing and intimidating.

You have a quote from Octavio Paz on your site. What does this quote mean to you?
Everything and anything.

Your work is bold yet subtle. Where do you get your artistic courage from?
It must stem from the innate need and desire to make and create.

What message do you have for young artists starting out?
‘Shoot for the moon; for even if you fail, you'll land among the stars.’ Ambition, drive, determination and perseverance - that's all you really need. Oh, and humility - lots of it.

How can people get in touch with you?
through the ubiquitous cloud...
- my website, email and social media.
