Alyssa Christine Tecson – Canoe at sea

This is a traditional canoe that is used in the Phillipines. You can see what sets its apart from the Thai canoes is that it has Stabilizers on either side. This was our way of collecting food. The men would spend hours out in the ocean casting their nets and hoping to catch fish. This picture is created with watercolours, I find this medium is much better in capturing the emotion and essence of the image.
